the 3rd snow Storm

February is sure is the coldest month of the year. This season, 3 big snow storms hit the east coast. Even though hubby is not here, me and the kids were able to manage just fine.THank God nothing big happened that we cant surpass. Yesterday I plowed like crazy. I plowed our walkway like every next hour and also at the side of the car and let it run for 2hours in the morning, afternoon and evening, so that the snow wont stick on it and so that it will be easy for me to go out the next day. I did a pretty good job, im so proud of myself. hehehe

Anyhow, the snow accumulate up to 12 inches, with a gust of wind 35-40mph it was a blizzard. It was pretty bad, everybody stayed home yesterday, our road was closed, no car could ever drive through it, only big trucks. Our plower guy didnt made it here yesterday, he cant get through because nobody have plowed our street. I think they plowed our street in the middle of night because this morning it was already a bit clear. Good thing our plower plowed our driveway early yesterday morning when the snow was not yet deep, I was able to drive my van through it this morning 4:30am to pick up hubby. The van got stuck for a couple of minutes on the entrance, good thing I brought the shovel-put it at the back of the van and Iwas able to dig out ok. whew! I was so happy that I got out from that mess. I thought I coudnt make it. hehehe.. we are still lucky. =) Steven coudnt believe that I did all that. He said that Im such a bad ass mama. lol. I was so happy to see him.

His Surprise

I was wondering what my little boy had been up to. I noticed he was so quite in the living room sitting on his chair, writing drawing something on his table, going up and down on the stairs, took some supplies and proceed with his work. I wonder what he was working on.

Later on he came up to me and say..Surprised! Happy Valentines Day Mam Mam! and he hand me an envelop with his Plop Plop stickers and stamps on it. I was so surprised! I just cant help my self to cry a little bit. Isnt he the sweetest boy ever? I opened his surprised right away and inside is his homemade card, a drawing of a big heart in front and inside are two hearts side by side and the 3 magic words that says it all.. I Love You. I was so touched! I started crying.. he asked me why im sad, I told him that Im very happy, and those are tears of Happiness. =) Im so proud of my little one. He sure completes me inspite the husbands absence. I couldnt ask for me this coming V Day.

Winter 2009

First big snow storms since 2002.

Dec. 18, 2009 - 20inches deep-
this really surprised everybody here in PA specially in DC, cause a lot of power blackouts, and accidents because the government was not ready for it. THank God we didnt experience that, cause it would be extremely freezing at night without a heater.

Feb. 5. 2010 - 24inches up
Snowed so heavily for 2days nonstop, accumulated almost 3ft.
the storm brought a lot of wind 30mph. This time people were prepared, stack their house full of junks, and the counties did a very good job in clearing the road afterward. Everybody stayed at home cause it was so dangerous to travel.
Next Big Snow Storm coming today Feb 9,2010.
They say it will accumulate up to 18inches! oh dear.. we just finish plowing our driveway and now another one is about to pile more?! We hope that this would be the last of the big snows this season.

Anyhow.. inspite all these big storms coming in our life, the sun will always shine afterward, giving us big hope, a chance, time.... to plow and clear the road . hehehehe...
so that we can move forward and go on with our life. d ba? lol. Thank You!

I dont think...

...I could ever get back to my blogging career anymore, so much had happened for this past few weeks that disables my capability to think clearly and stay focus on things. Stress had been my constant companion, makes me just want to lay down on bed and hope that everything is just a nightmare. In spite all the troubles that we are experiencing right now, I still able to do my duties as a mom to my kids and wife to my trouble husband. whew! Its not easy i tell ya!! Glad to have the Lord at my side Who give me strength in every endeavor we make. And as long as we have each other that's all that matters. =)
and as a treat!! i cooked this delicious Filipino Soup, to keep my inside feeling warm in this cold weather.
